Around us it looks like night. We don’t know exactly where we’re going or what we’re doing. Each of us is deeply flawed, and we don’t have a perfect track record. Each of us has reasons for doubt. But when we depend only on our own strength and wisdom, our nets come up empty. Jesus is on the shore, patiently waiting for us. He offers us Bread and Wine, and invites us to venture into places we wouldn’t have thought of going. Trust me. Follow me.

In this week’s Ask Mark Anything, Mark interacts with a question that several have been asking about the nature of free will. Do we choose what we do, or are we merely playing out actions that God had ordained we must do, before the world began?
